WAY TO AI participation in Warsaw Food Expo 2025
On May 20-22, 2025, our WAY TO AI generator team at Warsaw Food Expo 2025 – the 7th edition of the food industry fair in Central and Eastern Europe. The event was possible at Ptak Warsaw Expo and gathered nearly 16,101 participants and over 400 exhibitors from 46 countries. As a partner of the Creative Packaging Group Cluster, we also emphasized the importance of cooperation between AI technologies in the packaged application.
Warsaw Food Expo 2025 – overview of events
Warsaw Food Expo 2025 confirmed position among industry leaders
Food. The organizers noted that the fair made it possible to present the latest
production technology and high-quality food products, as well as new products for the
workshops and lectures on device optimization. As part of the events that are participants in the panel
m.in conference. Modular AI in a Food Processing Solution ,
operators, guests and new employees, and the democratization of artificial intelligence. Second
the thematic block was the conference “Packaging for the food industry – technologies
and trends” when discussing packaging innovation and sustainability. In addition, there were culinary shows, workshops and panels at the event fair
discussion events, which emphasized educational and business events.
PWAY TO AI election
During the conference “Intelligent Automation and Personalization in Industry: The Future of Manufacturing and Packaging” Team leader WAY TO AI – Radosław presented a paper entitled “Modular AI in a food plant – for operators, guests and new employees”, pointing out that small, precisely selected AI modules allow to circumvent the barriers of cost and complexity typical for the food industry – each module solves one specific problem and can be scaled after a successful pilot.
As the authors, we pointed out that AI plays the role of a human partner, not a deputy: decisions and supervision still belong to humans, and the system only provides information at the right moment. This approach minimizes risk, accelerates adaptation and paves the way for further implementations in other departments of the plant.
PoC 1 – Virtual Plant Guide
A mobile chatbot activated by a QR code at the gate or at the reception desk guides guests step by step around the facility: it informs about health and safety procedures, locations and entry rules, automatically switching to the user’s language. The solution unifies the message, relieves the staff of the reception and improves the safety of visits.
PoC 2 – Employee Onboarding Assistant
A round-the-clock mentor available on company devices provides job instructions, process documentation, a glossary of terms and control quizzes. New employees learn at their own pace, asking questions about protective equipment or production line procedures, which reduces onboarding time and the workload of trainers.
PoC 3 – Machine assistant for operators
A chatbot assigned to a specific device (access via QR code) provides instructions for operation, changeovers and cleaning, diagnoses failures, generates service requests and eliminates language barriers. The result: less operator training, fewer errors, faster repairs and lower service costs.
Applications
Three independent modules – Guide, Onboarding Assistant and Machine Assistant – show that even local, small-scale AI implementations bring tangible benefits: faster processes, lower risks, less downtime and a repeatable standard of knowledge throughout the plant. The “small steps” strategy allows the technology to be scaled up smoothly to new areas without multi-million investments.
Other lectures
In addition to our presence, there are several other industry lectures. Highlights These are:
• Karol Krowiak (Mitsubishi Electric Europe B.V.) – model
Smart Manufacturing Kaizen Level: staged data collection, visualization,
analysis, optimization; Dessert Production Automation Case Study
where AI regulated the ingredients and shortened the cycle by 25 %, the FEM system on the
mobile devices and AR.
• Mateusz Chopiak (Polpack Zeus) – comparison of methods
meat packaging: traysealing with MAP, thermoforming, stretch film, packaging
Vacuum; impact on durability, aesthetics, costs and level of automation; selection
depending on the product and ecological requirements.
• ETERS Team – “Democratization of Artificial Intelligence”:
applications of LLM (GPT, Claude) in data analysis, recipe optimization,
interpretation of the regulation; limitations of the LLM (misinterpretations, data quality,
ethical challenges); the need for precise queries.
• Tomasz Rydzkowski, PhD, DSc, Eng., Iwona
Michalska-Pożoga (Koszalin University of Technology) – active packaging and
intelligent: freshness monitoring, communication of storage conditions,
extending the shelf life; importance of consumer demands and environmental regulations.
Meeting with the CPG Cluster – a common perspective for development
The CPG Cluster presented an information stand at Warsaw Food Expo 2025 (Hall C, stand C4.23). During the talks with the CPG Cluster Coordinator, Ms. Alicja Struniawska, the value of joint initiatives was confirmed: exchange of experience, prototype testing and research and development cooperation. These activities open up new opportunities for both food producers and technology companies within the Cluster.
Summary and importance of industry conferences
Participation in trade fairs and conferences is essential for the development of the food industry. Warsaw Food Expo 2025 allowed us to learn about current technologies, trends and their practical application. Direct contacts with entrepreneurs and experts allowed for a better understanding of the needs of the industry and hidden operational challenges. Systematic efforts to digitize and implement artificial intelligence translate into real benefits – process optimization, time and resource savings. The participation of WAY TO AI in the Warsaw Food Expo 2025 provided us with valuable conclusions and confirmed the validity of the adopted strategy for the development of modular AI solutions.
